In addition to one-time or recurring donations of cash, here are some other ways you can donate to help the children:

Workplace Giving

Donate through your employer’s workplace giving campaign.  Many employers will match employee contributions.  This is a great way for you to help orphaned and migrant children in Baja, Mexico.  Contact your Human Resources Department for details.

Gifts of Appreciated Stock, Bonds, or Mutual Funds

Gifts of stock and other securities can provide significant tax benefits for you.  Please speak with your accountant or attorney to learn about tax advantages.

The simplest way to donate securities is by electronic transfer from your brokerage account to the Vida Joven Foundation brokerage account.

When you make a gift of appreciated securities into our brokerage account, we do not receive any information that identifies you as the donor.  Please let us know of impending transfers so we can thank you and acknowledge your gift with a tax-deductible receipt.

Make a Donor-Advised Fund Gift

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a giving program that allows you to support the Vida Joven children while enjoying favorable tax benefits.

You can make a gift to Vida Joven through your donor-advised fund by taking any one of the following steps:

  • Use the “DAF Direct” tool below. You’ll be asked to pick the organization to which you’d like to contribute and enter the amount. When you’re finished, you’ll click “Next” to complete your recommendation.
  • Or: Log into your DAF online and select Vida Joven (EIN: 47-1838706)
  • Or: Contact the administrator of your DAF and tell them to make a gift to Vida Joven (EIN: 47-1838706)

If you have a donor-advised fund that does not participate in DAF Direct, just ask your financial advisor to designate a gift to Vida Joven (EIN: 47-1838706).
